CRM Setup

Territories, competitors, campaigns — and what they tell you.

Who we lose to

Closed deals only — an open one has not been won or lost, and counting it as either makes the rate move every time somebody opens a quote. Deals with no competitor recorded get their own row: not knowing who you were up against is the finding worth acting on, and hiding it makes the rest look authoritative.

Nothing closed yet.

Campaign return

Won revenue against budget. A campaign with no budget shows no multiple at all rather than an infinite one: dividing by nothing is an unanswered question, not a spectacular result.

No campaigns yet.

Territories

customers.territory_id has been a code with no vocabulary behind it since the customer table was created. A territory carries its owner: without one it is a label, with one it answers “whose account is this”.

Competitors

Free text made “Siemens” and “siemens” two competitors in every report, and the split landed on the name that mattered most.

Campaigns

A budget is optional and worth entering: without it, “was it worth running” has no answer.
